The Capital One Bowl will once again feature performances by a major musical talent, adding to a bill that annually features the top non-Bowl Championship Series postseason matchup in college football. Capital One presents Hunter Hayes in a free concert for game ticket holders at the Capital One FanFest pregame tailgate party. Hayes will also headline the game’s halftime show.
The Capital One Bowl will be held this year in its traditional 1:00 p.m. New Year’s Day time slot at Orlando’s Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium. Capital One FanFest is open from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with Hayes slated to perform at 10:30 a.m. Game tickets start at $35 and include free access to the concert.
Multiple GRAMMY nominated artist, Hunter Hayes, is a multi-talented performer, musician, producer, and writer. His critically acclaimed Atlantic Records self-titled album has already garnered three consecutive No. 1 singles, selling over seven million singles to date while the album itself was recently certified platinum by the R.I.A.A. His current single, “Everybody’s Got Somebody but Me” featuring Jason Mraz, is off his critically acclaimed album, Hunter Hayes (Encore). Hunter has played over 500 dates since 2011. He has headlined sold out venues across the US and Canada and is currently on the CMT On Tour: Hunter Hayes’ Let’s Be Crazy tour with 24 dates in 21 cities which kicked off on October 10th. The Louisiana native has also shared the stage with Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Trace Adkins, Brad Paisley, Hank Williams, Jr. and most recently, Stevie Wonder.
VIP passes, which get fans in a reserved area closer to the stage for the concert, are available as an add-on to the game ticket through Ticketmaster.com for $35. The VIP space also will include a VIP-only dedicated bar so that patrons do not need to leave the area for beverages. Click here to buy VIP upgrade passes. Please note: the VIP upgrade is NOT a game ticket. You must already have a game ticket in order to access to VIP area.
Capital One Bowl tickets start as low as $35 and are all-inclusive (no added service charges). The game is played on Jan. 1, 2014, and features a matchup of top teams from the Big Ten and Southeastern conferences.
